We’ve had some requests recently from customers who would like to pay via email money transfer. I know I use that method to get money to my children in university and it works like a charm. In chatting with the banks unfortunately it seems that business accounts are not able to utilize this technology yet. For those of you who use email transfers with your personal accounts, you will know that the recipient is required to sign into their banking site with username and password in order to designate the receiving account and complete the transfer. Banks haven’t yet figured out how to alter the technology to allow employees to accept the funds without also having access to other aspects of corporate accounts. Stay tuned and we’ll let you know when and if the bank opens the possibility of email money transfers to business accounts.
